Permanent Crawler

The Permanent Crawler helps you find and monitor external scripts, cookies, and other external content. The tables show you whether there are cookies that you do not control or whether scripts are being executed outside of CCM19’s control.

It is important to identify this data because, over time, scripts are occasionally integrated into parts of the site and then forgotten.

However, the scanner also detects so-called user--s—scripts and cookies that are introduced from other sites. Browsers do not always behave consistently in this regard. We cannot explain the cause of this; the browser-manufacturers would need to provide the answer.

A scanner is always running in the background that checks externally in these cases whether the corresponding cookie or other elements are also present on the subpages where they were listed in CCM19. If not, it is automatically set to “Ignore” and is not displayed here.

Therefore, please check carefully to see if there is actually data here that is running on your site. If so, enter the data into your local database. A manual check from time to time is recommended for safety.

Script Information

For the scripts, you’ll see a blue i in the “Info” column—clicking on it will show you where the script was found. The list is limited to a few entries. If this occurs frequently, you should investigate what is happening there. The site may have been hacked.

When CCM19 finds a new cookie—as shown in the screenshot—you can add the cookie to your list by clicking the arrow next to the cookie’-. If the cookie is recognized in our database, the corresponding entries will even be automatically populated in your form.
