Legal Notice
According to the GDPR, a website’s legal notice—as well as its privacy policy—must be visible to the user before consent is given. Visitors must not be forced to give consent before they have seen this information.
Legal Notice as a Link
You have the option to set a direct link to the legal notice. To do this, set the following option in the screen below: "Link to Legal Notice."
You can then enter the link to the legal notice directly, and it will be used as is in the frontend.
Display the widget on the page specified below
If you enable this toggle, the widget will also be displayed on the legal notice page. However, this is not recommended in most cases, as the GDPR requires that the Legal Notice page be accessible even without a banner.
Therefore, this toggle is not enabled by default. If you wish to activate it, you should carefully consider whether this is truly the intended use.
If this toggle is enabled, links will open in a new window with target="_blank".
Edit the Legal Notice
You can create and edit the Legal Notice directly in the admin panel; the following screenshot shows the editing interface.
Legal Notice on the Front End
To comply with the GDPR, CCM19 includes the option to either link to the legal notice (see screenshot) or make it accessible directly within the widget.
The link then opens a screen where the site’s legal notice is displayed—as shown here.
